New roof improvement questions

Insurance has agreed to pay for the replacement of the hail damaged roof on my 95 Northstar TS 1000. I've asked the dealer if it's possible for me to make some improvements to the roof before he installs it. Haven't heard back yet. I have in mind coating the perimeter wood with epoxy on the inside to make it more resistant to rot and also putting a 1/8" piece of flat aluminum plate across the interior of rear perimeter where the Heco lift installs and tends to cause problems with the wood on the corners. Should I extend some of that plate down the sides too? Any other suggestions to improve the roof before it is installed?

On my current roof I have 4 cross bars mounted to Yakima gutter mounts bolted to the rim of the roof. I will move those over but I do need to figure out how to strengthen them since I recently learned that the front bar mounts had enlarged its holes on the gutter mounts.
I think I'm going to pass on a second fan. There is so much ventilation thru the windows in the canvas that an additional roof penetration doesn't seem necessary.
I don't currently have solar so I'll have to think about the solar mount issue. (I hate putting holes in a roof).

This is the Yakima mount I'm using for my racks. https://www.amazon.com/Yakima-80080...35&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=yakima+gutter+mounts

I don't like the fact that those rails require penetrations thru the top of the roof.
