Jalopnik is reporting that Ford and specialty parts supplier Dynacorn will produce new all-steel bodies for the 60s-era Bronco. Production of the body parts will use the original Ford tooling, so the parts should fit right. Examples of the new bodies will be displayed at SEMA this November.

The early Bronco is a great size for off-road use. These new parts will put a bunch of re-built Broncos back on the road.

Let's see:
-- Buy a junked Bronco to get a valid old VIN number
-- replace the frame with a new frame from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard,
-- replace the body with the new Dynacorn parts
-- put a modern V8 under the hood
-- fabricate a 4 link suspension with coilover shocks

Here's a web site with photos of early Broncos, including this one prepared by racing legend Bill Stroppe

Cool idea, but I think it would be a bigger hit if the wheelbase was stretched out 10" or so. The problem with EB's, in my opinion is the too short wheelbase. Like early Jeeps, most everyone I know with an EB, wants to or has stretched the WB.

I'm sure they will sell the hell out of them though.

Have you ever seen this stretched 4-door Bronco? This guy did an amazing build. It was originally featured in Bronco Driver Magazine:
