updates cont.

Trans light came on a couple times when I was off road and I noticed my condenser fan wasn’t working. Found a replacement new motor went about swapping it and wiring in an on off switch in the cab (from a thread I saw on here). Then I started to get a little carried away adding an additional trans cooler and installed a separate pusher fan for the cooler with a switch inside as well.

Added some old PIAA lights I had to the bumper, as seen in the picture above.

..then the sickness caught on and I added a 42” light bar mounted to an old Yakima cross bar.

Ok, even with the back up light bulbs switched to LEDs I still needed some light for upcoming trips, so I cut down some old brakets and added these cubes.

Think I have enough light now. :sombrero:

Ok, after all these additions with relays, I needed to add a supplemental Blue Sea fuse box, but mounting issues in the engine bay were limited so I ended up making a mounting bracket and bolting it to the battery tray.

Added some misc stuff, Cabela's Trail Gear seat covers panavise ipod bracket, RAM tablet holder (from Tundra), axe, shovel and hi-lift jack brackets to roof basket and level-o-gauge because I missed the incline gauge on my Tercel 4wd wagon from college.

note: only use the tablet on off road excursions running Backcountry Navigator

Nice truck man! I still have to replace the motor for the condenser fan, maybe one of these days when I'm done with school... hahaha you know about the stereo I have had nothing but jvc units on my last few vehicles, since I'm not into loud sound systems these units provide great bang for the buck.

Great looking rig. Definitely following to see what else you add.
Not a whole lot more: transmission skid, trans temp gauge, still debating the rhino liner on the lower edges. I think that is about it.

Well ok, maybe a gas tank lift and custom skid plate? :coffeedrink:

gas tank lift and skid plate is a mus, i wish i had a picture of my original gas tank

Whoops, just realized might not be able to raise the tank, since I opted out of doing a body lift. Maybe just build a really heavy skid for it?

i'm not sure but i thought somebody have done this before. Either way i got another tank and putting together body lift, researching options how to protect gas tank better

DIY Trans skid

Mounted up trans skid after painting. Extended the plate forward so that the second oem skid plate overlaps the leading edge of the new plate which sits against the bottom of the cross member. Attached the front through oem welded nuts and made some mounts w/welded nuts and bar stock that fits inside the cross member at the rear of the plate.
