New Vintage Trailer

Well after a bunch of searching, I bought what I believe is an old M series trailer. Its a little dented up, but the rails are in great shape. The tailgate has been cut, but it was done pretty well. I will post some pics of the tailgate after I got it home. Off to the DMV on Monday for new plates. The pickets have been removed and left with previous owner. I think its a good start.

There's green under there somewhere.

Ok, so here are pics of the tailgate and some Mil-spec OD green under the paint.

The wife wanted to help install new safety chains and handed me her pink pliers.

The Saga continues!!

Finding time to work on the trailer is hard to do sometimes. I ordered Superbright Led round tail lights, wiring and new manufactured tail light brackets from Army Jeeps.

I spent some time removing tail gate chains and replacing them with a little less conspicuous.

I also confirmed my suspicion that this trailer is an M100. The fender tabs are mounted in a ciruclar fashion as well as the tub is welded to the frame. Also I assume that the original owner also drilled about 100 holes in the tub to mount various tie downs, as well as fully welding the tub to the front of the frame. Sheesh its going to be a pain to fill all of the holes. I have yet to hear from the media blasting company in my area.
