Daily... Same stuff anybody should carry. Stuff to fix or change a flat, spare fuses, etc. I always have a first aid kit and a flashlight. Other then that regular maintenance is your best friend. get down under there and check things out or a trusted tech who has a background in offroad. Besides that just carry what you want.
Camping and exploring... That depends. Theres a thread on here where people have listed their "lists" for gear. That would give you some ideas but every situation is different. I see some guys go completely unprepared with nothing and others who mount a hi-lift jack to a stock jeep cherokee. There is no reason a stock jack wont work on a stock truck on the street, nor is there any place to lift from using a hi-lift on a stock cherokee. Same goes for sand ladders, I think they are awesome, but I never travel into areas that would need them on my own.
So figure out what you wanna do, where you wanna go, how many people will be going (traveling with family), etc,etc. Then put together a list by searching this forum for items that would make your travels that much more enjoyable.
Just to give an example...
I have a Cherokee with a small lift... no bumpers, no roof top tent, no winch, etc. I carry a bag of tools and a few electrical items prone to failure on my rig.
I have many years of wheeling experience and always travel with friends.
In camp I use a jetboil or a fire to cook, a thermos for my coffee, lots of water, and a flask... I do plan to get an arb fridge soon though.
If the food is too good I'll never come back home.
I dont do rock crawling anymore, just exploring the desert and moderate trails up in the local mountains. So for me this works.
All of the extra goodies are cool but not needed. If I was traveling alone for 3 weeks, through unknown terrain my list would be very different.

-vbar tire chains wrapped in a tarp to keep them untangled
-extra starter and tools for it
-extra G31 battery

-ratchet straps
-shovel
-axe
-window cleaner
-gloves
-1/4" ratchet set
-1/2" ratchet set
-Big orange dead blow hammer. (wheel hammer offer)
-Random garden Gnome
-tarp
-extra headlight bulbs and turnsignal bulbs wrapped in tarp

Camp Tote:
-Mountain Hardwear Tent
-Gregory Palisade pack (not in tote)
-Headlight
-Another tarp
-Henry Shires Tarp tent (usually I pack 1 tent per person, privacy is nice in smelly backcountry)
-MSR Waterworks filter
-MSR Miox
-rock salt from soft pretzels
-small vial of bleach
-silicone sealant
-dental floss and paracord
-pepsi can stove
-coat hangers
-bear spray
-MSR ti pot
-denatured alcohol
-4x4 nails (superduty tent stakes)
-fire
-copper camp fire coil and 12v pump water heater
-extra sheets
-Marmot sleeping bags
-Winchester FOAM ear plugs
-Extra Mountain hardwear monkey man fleece
-etc. etc. but some ideas to start with.

Since I use totes, they can be off loaded quickly, and I don't have to worry about missing items.
