FMTV-built by Stewart & Stephenson. It was a competitor to the truck that Joaquin Suave has, which was built by Tactical Truck Corp, a joint venture between GM/MVO and BMY/Harsco in the late 1980s.fisher205 said:The National Guard are training in the area now, and I've seen a med duty cabover 4 wheel drive truck being used. I don't recognize it. Anyone have an idea what it is? Sorry no pictures. - Brad
Cross mounted engine??? I am not sure what you mean, sorry. That brochure link has all the 4x4 models used currently....FYI.fisher205 said:Thanks Bob, but this vehicle appeared to be lighter than the 2.5 ton FMTV. I have seen the 6X6 FMTV's before, and was not aware they made a smaller version, but these didn't appear to have the cross mounted engine. I did see 2 configurations, a canvas covered truck and probably a communications van. Both were in convoys so I did not get a good look at them. - Brad
Thank you Gary!! I was not sure if my memory was playing tricks on me or not (CRS, ya know LOL)gary in ohio said:bad boys truck http://www.badboytrucks.com/ is the commercial version.
