What was the cause of the salvage title?

The frame was stretched to accommodate the 6.5' bed on the crewmax. Since it was cut and modified they started the project with a truck that had been rear-ended, rather than cutting up a perfectly fine one. The work was done by Precision Bodylines in SLC who are well known for the hundreds of longbed Megacab dodge conversions they've done.
