:sombrero: Yeah, we were in the Sierras--about 8K feet above one of the high lakes up the ridge from Bowman lake--alone in my Tentrax/w a TEPUI RTT/5' above ground and about 3 am --
A big black bear started "wuffing" and stroking the tent, on my wife's side--she was totally petrified and I grabbed my "BEAR SPRAY" and 45 1911and stayed quiet--waiting--there was no more action, but she won't camp in that trailer again !
That's one of the reasons for the jeep departure, so we'll be a little more careful, using this truck/camper, at least she accepts that--ya gotta keepem happy---
One of the rangers told me that there had been several "encounters" in that area, but no dangerous trouble-
Survival of the fittest !
