I am selling my beloved Z71 diesel. I am upgrading to a larger Silverado as my two boys are getting bigger and we regularly do 2,000 plus road trips. I also want something that will tow my


R-Pod a bit better. This truck can tow with ease. We have taken this rig on many overland adventures as far East as Nebraska and South Dakota, North into Canada an d Sound to the border of Mexico. It has served my family extremely well. However my boys are 5 and 9 and will soon be bigger and I will need larger backseats to go on epic journeys in comfort. The diesel with the upgrades I have done will tow our 4,500lb trailer with ease and gets amazing fuel economy. I average around 22mpg around town and 17-18 mpg while under tow.


I don’t really know how to price this thing so I am open to offers, I am aware that Chevy does not make these amazing diesels anymore. I have a custom in bed storage system I built to house the second battery, tools, recovery gear, fridge etc. The customs switch panel was built be me and goes to a custom relay center and fuse block under the hood. The solar panel on the hood keeps the secondary battery charged up when the vehicle is off and keeps the fridge cold (even in hot Death Valley trips). We mostly camp out of our trailer and so this rig is not really set up to camp out of the vehicle, however the shell is upgraded to handle the extra load of a rooftop tent if needed. Full ham radio equipped.


This rig was also expertly maintained. All fluids regularly changed. Turbo and transmission have less than 10k miles. Timing belt was done at 120k. It has a G80 locking rear differential. The suspension was set up to maintain the factory caster and freeway ride qualities. This rig drives a lot nicer than a lot of other lifted rigs because it was done correctly. This is my 4th overland rig build. I have also welded bracing on the frame to strengthen it from it buckling at the buckle point.


I am probably missing a ton of small things that I have done over the years of owning this truck. I am the second owner and bought it in 2018 with 54k miles. The mild tune and upgraded turbo really wake this baby diesel up. Also with the upgraded torque convertor and transmission coolers the transmission is happy.
