Okay I posted this in the general tech section, but I thought I would post it here as well, because I have seen that some parts from Toyota might fit Monteros. This is an off road company from the NW that sells all kinds of Toyota parts. Some are custom made by the company and others are just what they have found fitted and tested from the off road world. Like I said maybe some will cross maybe not, but I thought it would give another place to look at for stuff.

Has anyone put together a compendium of what bits and pieces for other marques will fit our Monties?

Huh? Who told you this? Really not much there is usable on a Monty from what I saw. Not trying to come down on you but don't want you having misconceptions about what's cross compatible either.:ylsmoke:

Oh I.just had read about rock sliders and some bumpers the fit from other makes the website doesn't do the actual catalog. But I wasn't sure just a thought that crossed my mind.

Yes, some Toyota sliders do fit but I mostly saw engine and drivetrain parts on their site. Try trail-gear.com instead.

As for bumper fitting, only bumpers for mitsu's fit as is. The others will all require some modification or some type of adapter to fit the Montero.:smiley_drive:

Yeah it seems either they have gone away with the old paper catalog, or just harder to get off their website. I just meant overall dimensions I figure a straight bolt up wouldn't work as far as a bumper went. But thanks for looking it over though and giving it a chance. Since I have yet to own a Montero I wouldn't have a clue. I know back when I had the paper catalog they had a huge number of winch bumpers designed for use on vehicles that have a close in bumper design not the longer snout of a Jeep, but maybe not anymore.

woops I should have read that better before I posted my last comment. They have always been Toyota focused but the winch bumpers they sold were built for the 4Runners and trucks (not sure about LC's) but I know they have a really close bumper on those rigs much like the Montero. Unlike the Jeeps which have much further out bumpers, at least from what I remember when I worked on them.
