Ok, so the background to this story... as a requirement for my major, Hospitality, Management, and Tourism, I am required to take a school organized trip to another country. My professor, intrigued about my love for Costa Rica, asked me to help plan this year's trip. Cool. Three weeks in a beautiful country, and I get college credit for it, and I get to brush up on my Espanol.
The program we went with pretty well took care of everything. Centro Panamericano de Idiomas (C.P.I.). The use of intensive spanish classes that are directed at your level of Spanish experience, as well as a home stay with a Spanish speaking family was an excellent way to be... immersed. I had only had about a years worth of writing down Spanish in high school several years ago unable to speak anything, but by the time the three weeks were up, I was having almost fluent conversations with my host families.
Some of the new experiences I had included: white water rafting, canopy zip line tour, parasailing, snorkeling at a nice coral reef, horseback riding, a night in a hostel, and ehhh motion sickness....
Made several new friends. Lost respect for my professor. Had a nice overnight adventure in Granada, Nicaragua.
I'm not going to go into too much detail on every day events, but I would like to share with you some of my better photos from the trip.
All of the pictures below were takin by me. If you would like to use any of them, email me first, and I will even provide you a higher quality picture.
