Nothern Lite Campers

Can anyone tell us about the Northern Lite campers. They look very much like the Big Foot campers, maybe a little bit lighter. Are they the same quality as the Big Foot?

Don't own one...but have been in both NL and BF...and while there is something to be said for the glass construction (for the most part NL do seem to be lighter than BF)...they both feel....dark?...cave like?

They don't have a lot of windows, kind of like a cocoon.

Some Folks might like that, and it may be a big plus in cold weather.

We like our Adventurer, it is bright/airy, nice views out the generous windows, and it has proven to be rugged and well made.

You really need to spend some time in different ones and check out floor plans...they all have a unique "feel".

I do like NL...and would strongly consider buying one...but our next TC will likely be a single slide.

NL and BF are similar in build with the fiberglass shell. If you compare the weights they come up close. In the older ones the quality of the NL was a lot better (real wood as compared to laminate and press board), have not seen a BF since they came back from bankruptcy. NL had more insulation, again in the old ones.

FYI in the older models there are two different types of BF, one is with the two piece shell and one is made with panels. The panel ones can be a lot bigger and VERY heavy.

I have a older NL and love it, it is very light and easy to maintain with the fiberglass shell.

This link may help get you some more information
