It is with a heavy heavy heavy heavy heart that I am selling my baby.
1988 FJ62 Landcruiser. <<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>
Please don't be a ******** and think you are buying a brand new car and expect everything to be perfect. As I have slowly restored her over the past 5 years she is looking killer and running pretty dang good in my opinion. . .but still needs some TLC being an older vehicle. I am selling only because the wife has informed me it is "not in the budget to have a fixer upper car" at this moment in time. . .I think she's full of crap but I love her and have been promised another FJ62 later in the future. This car has been my daily driver for the past 5 years or so and I absolutely love her. She needs someone to take her to the next level and keep her that way.
The good.
Super clean inside and out
Custom flat tan paint. Original color was champagne so it meshed perfectly.
Brand new front and rear upholstery from Cruiser Corps.
Newish General tires and brake pads/shoes 31" stock size.
Newish belts
Stock suspension. ***However I have when you buy this a brand new and complete Old Man Emu suspension kit including:
Front and rear leaf springs
Anti inversion Shackles
4 shocks
All new bushings
No I won't install for you***
Defender roof rack from Smittybilt
Smittybilt locking center console
Brand new OEM Toyota alternator
Magnaflow exhaust. . .she sounds really cool.
All new tie rod ends from Cruiser Corps. Alignment done professionally.
New battery
Starts right up everytime
Shifts well. Just changed the tranny fluid and tranny filter.
4 wheel drive works perfect
Heater Front and back work
Power windows work
She has passed smog every time for me. . .which has been 3 times now.
Nice CD player and speakers.
New dash cap dash cover installed.
Installed shoulder belts in the rears. . .so its perfect for kids.
The bad
Needs bearing overhaul in both front wheels.
Could use new brake hoses on front end.
Needs suspension installed. . .but you get the whole kit.
Power locks only work on driver door. When I bought it I discovered the other actuators were no longer in the doors and hatch.
A couple of rusty pimples here and there near gutter. . .which is pretty dang common.
Loud. She has a very loud engine compartment. . .not necessarily bad. . .just loud. . ..if you want a quiet car buy a prius. . .gets way better gas mileage too.
A/C not working. . .blows air. . .just not cold. Most likely just need to convert to newer coolant and recharge.
Windsheild has small crack at bottom on driver side. Been there since I bought it.
Those two bumper lights you see broke last time I was in the desert because buddy thought they turned. . .so those will not be on the vehicle. . .its still wired to accept new ones if you wish to install new ones.
