I think you are looking for rock sliders, correct? Ones that have nerf bars/tree rails that you can sort of use as a step? Surely you don't mean running boards -ru they are good steps but don't offer any sort of protection and actually hurt your off-road ability by limiting the already minimal clearance of the truck.
Assuming the former, probably the best sliders on the market currently in the US are by Tactical 4x4. They are available with or without nerf bars.

The thing that makes me recommend these over others is that they extend all the way in to the frame rails and fully cover the air compressor.
Keep in mind that the nerf bars aren't really steps like a running board; if they stuck out that far they would just get in the way. But you can sort of step on them to help reach things on the roof or whatnot. I run them, along with their transfer case and gas tank skids. I've put them to a lot of use playing in the rocks and they've never let me down, even when the truck was balancing/pivoting it's full weight on them.
