Offroad Expo for Land Rovers - Mission Viejo, CA

Sounds like great fun, though we won't make it out from Iowa :)

I've directed my little brother to this thread...he's in Aliso Viejo (dang, is everything "old" in that neighborhood). Maybe he'll bring his far too shiney RR.

Best,

KAA

Yeah, it should be fun I will be doing a digital slide show of some material everyone's seen and some no one has seen.

Parking!
The dealership site will not accommodate parking for patrons of the Open House. Everyone will need to park on the east side of the street, at the old dealership location. There should be plenty of room, and any open spot is fair game, including in the back of the old service area and near the new car storage overflow.

You will need to walk across the street and then down the south side of the new dealer lot. It will be marked.

Guys, I have a few more spots for private vehicles to be displayed. I'm looking for unique vehicles or particularly well built rigs. As an example of what I have so far, we've got:
- 1995 Range Rover Classic, LWB, TDi300 diesel! Super clean and rigged for the trail.
- 1966 Land Rover 2A MOD Ambulance
- 2001 Disco II, super clean, with all the trail fittings on it. (rack lights, lift, etc…)
- 2003 Disco II with Hannibal roof tent on it
- 2005 LR3 coil springs and outfitted for trail use (mine)
- 1997 Defender 90, fully kitted out.
- 1991 Range Rover Classic - Great Divide Edition

Would love to see a few Series trucks out there, or whatever seems appropriate.

How about a Land Cruiser? Aren't they the same thing?

...sorry. Couldn't resist. I hear that every time I mention my Land Rover.

I wish I could be there. Sounds like a great event, and a great way to untie the community.

Nathan and LRMV,

Thanks for putting this whole thing together or at least pass it on to people who did. I am writing a thank you note to LRMV. I had alot of fun meeting people and looking at other Rovers.

LRMV Open House...

Nathan;

I didn't have a chance to thank you for including my modest '91 RRC GDE in the 'Exhibit' at the LRMV open house. There were certainly some awesome trail vehicles and serious off-road set-ups on display that drew a lot of attention.

This initial 'Open House' event seemed to be a success with lots of interested folks milling around, asking questions and taking pictures. There also seemed to be a pretty good turn-out of vendors and independent LR shops. The food was excellent as well.

I can appreciate that it took you, Rich Guzman and everyone involved in putting this together a LOT of time & effort to coordinate such a successful Land Rover event. I look forward to future events that showcase the LR marquee.

Thanks again for your thoughtful consideration!

Happy Trails!

Hey MUSBJIM, when are we gonna hit a trail?

I'm usually out on the trail for a solo overnight trip about every 5-6 weeks. Most recently out in Anza Borrego (north-east San Diego county) checking out the wildflower bloom (very cool!).

I'd like to hook-up with some of the EP guys for a trip this summer. Does anyone put together a North/South EP summer gig like Pismo, Sequoia or where ever its a little cooler?

Hope our off-road paths cross soon!
