I was wondering what yalls beam patterns look light and I wanted to see if yall had any pics of them. I want to spend my money wisely so I am taking the careful steps to pick the best offroad lights I can. If you don't mind please post up pics of your lights so I can see the beam patterns. Also please list your setup. I want to see what the lights look like from the drivers(your) perspective.

I made a photo after installing my Hella Rallye 2000 lights on my Vitara/Sidekick.
First picture showing my normal beams, second high beams and the third my 2000's equiped with 100W halogen bulbs.
My car was standing in the middle of the "road" and my camera was positioned at about 1 meter to the left of the Vitara and was mounted on a tripod. All photo's were taken with the same settings.
The beams were aimed pretty low beause I was just testing how much light they gave, they will probably reach about 500~600meters when aimed higher.
I believe the english term for this type of beam pattern is spot beam.

Here are mine.
Normal Low Beams first then, high beams and 4 Hella 4000's, converted to HID. The pencil beams, and two euro beams
With my regular low beams on.
With all four lights on and the high beams from my truck. Pretty noticable difference I think.

What do you want?
If you are after a simple but significant driving light go with HIDS - either dump you stock lamps and instal legal HID replacements or add an extra set of low-level HID driver's lights. In most states/provinces depending on what lamps you choose, these are not classified as off-road lamp positions, don't need covers and can be used whenever you need them.
If you are really talking offroad then things get much more fun! You can go low with a single or big pair of real off-road spots and or go high with a light bar. If you are planning to do night-time gnarly offorading you may want to have two angled high sidelamps to cover corners better and high reverse lamps for getting out of trouble better.
If you choose to go high-mount, watch out for hood glare; light reflected back in at you. Careful positioning of the light bar and aiming the lamps makes a big difference.
If you buy Lightforce or Roolights (lightforce knock-off) you can buy a range of filters that can alter the colour and type of beam depending on your driving conditions.
Check your regional laws regarding lamps. I have to have all my lightbar lamps covered here in BC on regular highways.
