what i need to know is how much oil to carry.
was thinking about
5L each of

g/box
t/box
axle
and about 2l of brake fluid.
does this sound about right?
only done trips around uk and to austria to visit friends but never done anything this adventureus.
have managed to get most info of other threads but any advice ideas etc welcome.

Find out what fluid capacities your vehicle has - you should have at least sufficient for 1 full refill of all parts plus filters to suit.

ie depending on what engine a full refill including filter is often more than 5ltrs

last time I looked at the map the UK was uphill from Italy:)

unless of course you still believe in the flat earth theory ! as then it would be down hill from the alps to to the UK:coffeedrink:

Where are you from ?

On the other hand, the OXCAM London - Singapore Expedition took 2qts I believe. ;)
But yeah, I'd take one change for each. Though for components that take the same fluid, one complete refill for the largest capacity one might be enough, on the assumption you could restock before needing to change out more than one.
