In fact that is the reason I can run 15 inch rims when I want to (I already owned them)
I did find it odd that in 02 that was not a standard feature!

mtnbike, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Tacomas with ABS still retained the smaller brakes to clear 15" rims. But one's equipped with VSC were shod with bigger brakes and couldn't fit 15's. ??

@ kweetech - Actually, when I bought mine, I had family in mind. Thought I'd drive that and the wife would get something like a RAV4 or CRV. But that was when I didn't have to travel 100 miles a day. I really want to keep this rig, but right now, it doesn't make sense. But believe me when I say i'd much rather beat around in this Tacoma than a 4Runner. The sacrifices I go through for the family...... :D.............:(

I think you are right....

Crud.... I think you are right. It has been a while since I looked it up.
Sorry for the wrong info!

Good luck with the sale, I'll pass it on to any I see looking.

FWIW you can't run the OEM alloy 15's on a ABS equipped Taco but you can run 15" steel wheels.

What about a 3rd Gen 4runner or a Land Cruiser?

3rd Gen still lacks the safety features (mainly side curtain airbags) and the VSC/TRAC on the 01-02's absolutely sucks (had an 02 Sport). Land Cruisers eat gas like crazy and much more expensive. I think 4th Gen's have a good balance of price, comfort and off-road capability while giving the wife a safe, smooth ride for the daily errands.
