Hello all.

I've been on Expo for a while, formally drove a 2011 Xterra. I then tried the ADV bikes with a Honda Africa Twin, but quickly decided I'm a four wheels on the ground kind of guy :p

So, fast forward to about three months ago, I found a 2001 Sport on CL's here in the small town I live in. Long story short, I towed it home the next day. It took me a while and a lot more money than I care to say, but it's running GREAT now. Unfortunately, it started an obsession for Montero's. I now have, in addition to the Sport, a 2002 XLS with something wrong with the engine, I had intentions of jumping into it, but got side-tracked by a $300 CL's find. A 95 Gen 2, 162K miles and a 5 Speed Manual transmission. I was told it wouldn't shift into first and it would crank, but not run. Now, three weeks later, I have it running, it needed a fuel pump, and shifting into 1st (and all the other gears).

I rebuilt the fuel injectors and cleaned the fuel tank yesterday, it's running like a top. I've purchased all the needed parts to change out the timing belt, water pump, and all the seals and gaskets. Just ordered five tires, and can't wait to get this on the road!

we are...the dark side, pull up a chair.
the mitsu, u should find , will havery engineering more refined than the Nissan product.
the 92 will rock u.
but....the gen one is where the mystery lies.....

This was delivery day of the 95'. It took my wife three days before she noticed there was another one in the side yard!

The tires were 13 years old :)

It has 162k on it according to the odometer. I'm not sure it's correct. No service info available unfortunately.

I did get new tires on it Saturday!!!

The tires are Milestar Patagonia's. 31x10.5x15. Yeah, I'd never heard of them either, but they have really great reviews and Discount tire had them for $117 each. As little as I'll drive this rig they're probably get old before they wear out.

I have received everything to do the timing belt, water pump, all the seals and such. I hope to start tearing it down this week.
