well I have had my shair of jeeps and just bought another one. 1993 yj 4.0 ho 5spd



ill post up pics tomarrow with a full spec sheet but as of now its bed time

i have had 4 Yjs to this point but so far my newest one was a 90 4cyl that i droped a 383 in when i was 16


then i had a 89 258 at a 87 258 at and a 88 2.5 stick

all had at least 33s and where fun

this one has 32 and some junk lift but it will do for a few months till i can afford as soa and RE springs

well she looks a lil diffrent now i will post pics when i get home but

Q78-16 TSL on soft 8s look nice i picked them up used 300 miles 500 bux

need a lil more lift and 4.56 gears come tax time

it took me no time to find it. Did i mention i work at a car lot. it was traded in by the orignal woman she had all the service done by a mopar dealer

well the tranny webnt out sunday night. 5th gear is gone the rest looks wonder full. Also installing an 8274 winch. Will build a new bumper soon i hope as what i have well it will work lol

Now you know why it was traded. I would consider a completely different transmission rather than a rebuild. Body and frame should last just fine.

well i work for a dodge dealer so rebuilding is a snap


and have u tried to find an AX15 not that easy to come by

the transmission is actuly in darn good shape every thing is 99% all it needs is 5th gear sincro sprag

Sorry. My comment was inspecific. My suggestion would be to replace the AX15 with a different brand of transmission, like the NV3550. If you can get the AX15 rebuilt for no cost in labor, you are ahead of everyone else. Of course, transmission swaps are not cheap, and since you can get yours rebuilt for the cost of parts, that would be the simplest and least expensive way to go.

nv3350 is the same guts no up grade there

a 4500 mabie but that is one long bastd

the ax15 is axctuly fairyly strong if u replace the shift forks with stele ones from early toyota g series
