BIGdaddy
Expedition Leader
Talked to my Dad last night and he's gonna pass, and keep using his westfalia.
So here goes:
Autohome Maggiolina - Imported in 2003-2004
Only picture I have here at work, but it gives you a good sense of scale on my Cherokee. My load bars are about 49" wide.
-Original price approx. $2300.00
-approx. interior measurements 72" x 48-52" (i'm 6'0" 275lbs and I fit fine lengthwise) (Widthwise, my "average" sized wife and I had more than enough room)
-Fiberglass top and bottom
-Blue fabric with pleated/quilted satin interior
-Stock mattress
-interior light with wiring
-2 side doors with bug mesh and weather panel
-2 zippable triangle windows
-Steel reinforced mounting rails (then run most of the length of the tent)
-2 front latches/1 rear latch
-tent comes with deployment crank, collapsable ladder, and square ubolts that attach very easily to thule bars.
(I'd attach to a front and rear bar, and then run another thule bar, unattached, in the middle to keep any point loads from flexing the tent in the middle. (simply for longevity, thats how we did it)
SOLD, thanks Phil. [/B][/COLOR]
