I went to the arb site and didn't see an option for an '83 pick up. I have come across one that has been sitting for.cheap and am thinking about picking it up. Part of the refurb is suspension.

Lots of places just list the 84/85 kit for 79-85 pickups. The front springs are the identical, the rear springs are the same length and will bolt in place, but I've read that the centering pin is just slightly different. If I remember right, it will move your axle back about half an inch back. ARBUSA is good at answering questions, I'd give them a call if you want to know for sure.

If it's a full kit, the springs and bushings and shackles should all work. I'm not certain about the steering dampner or shocks.

ah, right on. looks like the kits are different too. Springs are probably the same but shocks are different

Downey Toyota was the early Toyota specialists unfortunatly they closed about a year ago. I'm running KYB shocks with a set of 3" springs from NW Offroad (also gone) and have been pretty happy with the setup however it is a little stiff (but flexes well).
