For sale is a RHD 1990 Toyota Townace Camper with 147,000 miles. I have owned it for almost a year now and lived out of it for 6 months. The 1.8L diesel with a 5 speed manual transmission and push button hi-lo 4wd will take you just about anywhere you can dream of going. Before embarking on my journey I changed all the filters, liquids and replaced the timing belt, tensioners and water pump. I drove through 40 states from Florida to Washington state and back with just about no problems. I had to repair the starter at one point because of worn contacts and had to rewire the alternator because of a mysterious short. The van a/c and heating are not connected, but I managed in the snow and 100 degree weather.

Inside it has a sink and a fridge, both in working condition. There is cabinet space in the back and storage on the outside. When you take the table out of the way the benches easily turn into a spacious bed down below and the pop top can be propped up to add another smaller bed up top.I would say 3 people can sleep comfortably below, 4 if you're small, and 2 up top. There are seat belts for 5 people.

This van would be perfect to take across country or continent, 20 miles a gallon. Add just a little bit of your personality to it. It could be an awesome project to make an incredible off-road, cross country monster that eats westfalias for breakfast. I really hate to sell her considering all the amazing memories, but I am moving to Sweden and have to let someone else enjoy her.

It's left hand manual shift (driver sits on the right . . .it's from Japan). Register in Florida with clear title. It's got normal wear and tear for it's age, minimum rust, but there is some. If there's something you would like a closer look at, message me and I will send you a photo.

The van speaks for itself. It is not perfect but it is 26 years old and has many stories to tell, and even more to acquire. I have never seen another one like it and neither have 99.9% of the people I meet. It puts a smile on everybody's face and is a fantastic conversation starter. If you don't want to talk to people at gas stations or have your picture taken with it then this is not the vehicle for you. Otherwise be ready to go places and be noticed!
