To pick up a new JK Unlimited!!!

Before rolling her off the lot I just wanted to say thank you to everyone here in the Jeep forum. I wouldn't be flying out to Denver without all of the enthusiasm and great advice passed along via posts, PM's and even a phone call or two, from members here.

I'll load a few pictures after I pick her up, and I will give a short drive report :bike_rider: before I roll her onto a larger vehicle en route to a new destination.

Cheers,

Kyle

Thanks John!

So far everything is going according to plan! I did 1,100 miles in a day and half! I hadn't driven through the Rockies or the Mojave in a long time so I really enjoyed the ride and the Jeep was awesome. The seats were supportive over long days, all of the accessories worked perfectly, and the Pentastar blew me away. I took it relatively easy including a breaking prescribed by an engine builder I know, but climbs over 8,000 ft up steep grades at speed went by in the blink of an eye.

As for my plans, the first thing on the list will be a lighting upgrade! I did a few hundred miles at night and I was lucky enough to have a few other people who were just cruising along at an easy pace who had headlights that were 'just a bit brighter' than the stock lights on the JK. Beyond the lights... I am making a list and checking it again...and again...and again :)

I will post pictures a little later as the iPad isn't cooperating at the moment.

A few things... The dealer had what I wanted and the salesman who I worked with was a pretty straight shooter.

Also, I only had a few days to get the car to San Diego, so starting out in Colorado instead of Denver definitely saved me a few hours on the road giving me a little more time to hike and hang out with friends before my move. Timing aside though I would be happy to to fly in and drive out in order to work with a good dealer vs getting the runaround that I received from a few other places.

I asked because I bought my Jeep in Aurora, CO. My salesman was a new kid, but I was very happy with the dealership I purchased it from in general. They also gave me a very good price on it.

Colorado does seem like a great place to pick up a Jeep! My dealer was south of Denver in Littleton.
