onboard water storage in LJ

Has anyone come up with a good way to store/haul water in their LJ?
I thought about mounting something to my roof rack (gravity feed for pressure, painted black for hot water) but I'd ratehr not add any more weight up top.
Not really much room to mount anything underneath.
Ideas? Pics?

Are you looking for a portable system or permanent one?

It sucks that the later TJs and LJs had the emissions stuff shoved in the right rear corner ( basically in the wheel well behind the tire in the rear passenger side). I always thought you could build a small tank to fit in there. I bet you could get almost 10 gallons, in an LJ, if you didn't have the emissions stuff.

Ive seen treads on other forums about relocating the Evap Canisters in the rear of the LJ's. I'll see if i can find it.

Good idea. I hadn't thought about putting a tank there, it should work well. There is a place in Tucson that builds custom water tanks, I can't remember the name but it should be easy to find.
Thanks!

Yeah, but I know ORO was stuffing 2.5 gallon air tanks in that space somehow :) probably moving the emissions around a little.

I know Slee offroad sells a cool HD rubber bladder that could be easy to find a spot for.
I would like to buy an Aux fuel tank that mounts in the space next to the muffler. My muffler is huge and the space looks identical, I dont see why a water tank would not fit. There is a fuel tank available for a TJ that fits in that location in Austrailia. An LJ is 10" longer in that area so it would be more than the 43L or 11.3 gallon TJ tank.
