Diesel engine in the LR4 for the US Market in 2013/14.

Be great to see mpg go up to 28-30 mpg highway miles; 3.0 V6 Diesel is already avail (except here). Easier on the pocket book w/fuel cost for an overland trip to Alaska or Baja from where I live (smile). Plus most aftermarket parts for the LR3 is transferable to the LR4.

And throw in coil spring option w/the diesel engine... where is the checkbook (double smile).

I know its a worn out chorus, but too many electronics. I really wish someone would sell a simple, stripped down SUV here in the states. I would want all the civility of a Rover, but without all the extra crap we don't need. I know, I sound like an echo.

Can't wait to see a diesel LR4...It still boggles my mind that in Europe, most cars/trucks are diesel and have been for quite a few years, while here in the states, we are still burning so much petrol. 400bhp cars but until lately, mpgs on average were still in the mid-20s! all cars should be getting 60mpgs+ by now...

So if the Disco needs twice as many jerry cans as the S1, does that mean its only half as fuel efficient?

:D
