Opinions on bumper width

I enjoy driving my tj even if I am on pavement and just going to work. Yeah it goes off road but the tj beats out my other options way too easily to leave it home during the work week.
Full width wins when I consider deer at speeds commonly attained on pavement and stupid drivers who either are not paying attention or who are sliding through an intersection because their bald tires don't work so well in the rain. But that abs keeps those bald tires from locking up so hey technology is great.
AEV is my current guess at what I will get though I wonder if a well built stinger would let me climb over the stupid honda sedan that tried to pull out into traffic with about 50ft of clearance when I was doing 45mph. And 45 was the speed limit.
