OR FAB HDX bumpers for JK?

Hi,

So I've had my eye on the OR-FAB 83228 bumper for my JK for about a year. The stars seem to be aligning for a purchase, and when I cruised their website tonight, I see that there is a new bumper 83260, that they call HDX. The old one looks like it might not still be produced.

Does anyone know what the differences are? The new one appears to lack the skirt/air dam that hangs down, looking more like the stock bumper setup? I noticed the new one seems to go for an extra $100 or 2, and the skid plate appears to be an add on now.

Any experiences good or bad? Is the new one lighter? Has anyone seen these in person? I'm headed to so cal in a few weeks, and it would be nice to see one in person at a shop or retail location. Any suggestions?

I have full width winch bumper 83228 that I got from 4wo|jeep bumpers. It has a solid construction. The only thing I don't like much is that this bumper mounts very close to the grille. Based on the specs, the 83228 has a 2.5 inch diameter tubing while the hdx has 1.5 only, and the location of the D-rings is somewhat different.

Thanks! I actually pulled the trigger on the HDX full width last night. after shipping and finding some install time, I'll try and post up some comments.
