You have decided you want an MT tread for sure?

What size Toyo MT are you buying?

James! Always good to have you join a tire thread.

I am mostly sure I want an MT tread. I've always used AT tires and I thought it might be nice to give them a try.

285/75/16 is my tire size.

So, how well are the Bighorns still wearing, assuming you still have them.

LT285/75R16 is a great size, and you can have any tire you want in that size, good you are staying there.

I am partial to a higher void treads, the Cepek F-C II tires are the most ‘all-terrain' tire I have run with any regularity in years.

The Maxxis Bighorns grip great and I really like them, but they are relatively soft and faster wearing, likely not a high-mileage tire for most people. I do still have them, a used set with 14/32" is on my F350 and are not seeing many miles, and another new set mounted on Toyota wheels which are waiting for when they are 'needed'. Both are 255/85R16D.

Wear is a variable, some people seem to get good wear out of the Toyo MT, some not as much, I think it depends much on the platform and driver (as always). One thing in favor of the Bighorns is that they are likely much less expensive than the Toyo MT, they will be a bit louder, both usually balance very well.
