Andrew is, or was, my barber. He was a great barber, but I think he's an even better cyclist/adventurer/philanthropist. He and his brother are riding their bicycles from Bellingham, WA to Andrha Pradesh, India, to raise awareness and money for an orphanage there. Looks like they are in Lahore right now. You can follow their progress and read about their past adventures and donate on the website above. All donations go directly to the orphanage. The brothers are living close to the bone and paying their own way from money they saved cutting hair and pulling espresso before they left. A carbon neutral adventure for a worthy cause. Pretty cool!

Thanks for letting us know about this, a wonderful blog and adventure.

A no-overhead fundraiser? I hope people take the time to check this out, and that they make their goal.

Oops, looks like their website is down. Andrew is a web designer too, but it might be hard to fix from a coffee shop in Pakistan.

Yes, the no-overhead aspect of this trip is kind of unique and cool. I think they saved something like $10k each for the trip. Orphan Ride will be our Christmas charity this year.
