Overdrive solenoid for 1990 LWD 3.0L

Guys,
This overdrive solenoid on my 1990 LWB 3.0L got damaged while my mechanic was removing the tranny to replace the rear main engine seal and the oil pan gasket. I am in desperate search for this elusive part as it is no longer available from Mitsubishi, of all of them it had to be the overdrive solenoid.

The transmission is the V4AW2 and the part number is MR111917 (old part #) / MD609445 (new part #).

if you never use your overdrive button just block off the solenoid. This will mean that overdrive will ALWAYS work 'automatically' (via kickdown cable) and you'll never be able to click the button to shut it off, but this will get you on the road until you find a used one at a junkyard...

I understand that it says volvo, but understand that this trans was used on a whole mess of cars.

I can't 100% say these are identical but they look the same and the function will be the same on any AW03-72L

My favorite Mitsu parts dealer refers me to 877-846-8243 a reseller for obsolete Mitsubishi parts Vpartsinc.com
