P38 Doetsch Tech Shocks - 2 Inches More Travel

I have recently converted my 2001 P38 Range Rover to coils (I love EAS but not practical for my offroading rig). I temporarily put on a used Arnott kit with my OEM shocks. Overall, the ride is quite pleasant but not as good as EAS.

I am planning a 2+ inch lift over offroad height, what some call a 4 inch lift that will allow 32 inch tires and possibly 33s. In order to fit taller springs, I needed to figure out taller shocks and looked at the options. The Bilsteins sound too harsh for me and the Terrafirmas sound promising. I went with Doetsch Tech 8000 Pre-Runner built to my specs of 2 inches higher travel. Doetsch Tech was very easy to work with and will make any custom shock to your specs. The kicker for me was the price...only $46 each and that included polyurethane bushings. I installed them today and took a short drive. They felt similar to OEM and possibly softer. I will repost after I put some miles on them. I am picking up some used RTE springs this weekend for some lift since the Arnotts can't handle the weight of the winch and skid plates, sliders, etc.

Comparison of the DT shocks and OEM. Note the increased length and girth :)D):

A pic of the used spring conversion I threw on there for now.

I used Doetsch on a Cherokee. The shocks have been good overall, but the bushings were terrible. Don't throw out your old ones....
