Paging AT Max Coupler owners

I have an AT Max Coupler, but can't locate the directions that came with it (nor could I find them online). Is there a torque spec on the nylock nut for mounting the coupler on the receiver?

I'm ready for a test-drive with my reworked M101A3...just need to get the Max Coupler mounted up.

Thanks,
Craig

The nylock needs to be tightened until the coupler is snug in the ball mount and there is just enough movement to allow the coupler to rotate.

When you try to rotate the coupler by hand it should take some effort to get it to move, not a free rotation.

These are the "field" notes on how to assemble the coupler to the ball mount. As far as I can recall there are no exact specs needed.

Perfect! Thanks Martyn.

No problem, as far as I know there is no torque spec. as there is a crush sleeve in the assembly. This "spacer" prevents the nut being tightened down too much, you still want the vehicle end of the coupler to rotate on the fiber washers, but you don't want it to be loose enough to wobble around.

The German word is guddentite. Works great on mine.

I still get a kick out of watching the trailer follow it's groove while I don't feel a thing in the Jeep. It's like the rearview mirror is a TV or something.
