Hi friends,

My plan is to swap the front diff of my V6 24v 3.0 Auto in order to install an ARB locker & thanks to the forum I have learned that I need an 8 inch diff of a manual V6 3.0 - 3.5 LWB.
How identify an 8 inch front diff or do all V6 3.0 + 3.5 manuals come with this one?
I guess since I like to swap it in my LWB it has to must come out of a LWB, right?

Thanks and cheers,
Chris

Well all (auto and manual 3.5) had large diff as well as 2.8TD. But also some of 3.0 v24 had them as well. You have to be more specific about your vehicle. Maybe you won't need to swap anything after all. How do you know that you do not? And of course you would have to match gear ratio.

Hi,

I know it has been some time since my last post, but I'm still wanting to upgrade my Pajero with a front locker.

@ Monterorider: my chassis no. is JMBORV430W000329, as written it's a 1997 V6 24v 3.0 Auto.

furthermore, it has been written that in case of a front diff swap it will be also necessary to swap the driveshaft, since it has a different length.

All this doesn't sound to difficult, but still would like to know if anybody has swapped the front diff successfully along with installing a front diff lock.

Keep on wheeling, thanks.
