This might be a silly question, but I have rebuilt another 3.0, and it still smokes at idle. All new pistons, rings and valve seals. When I pulled apart the old motor it looked like something bounced around the cylinders, previous owner thought it died due to something in the valve train letting go. When I was going through the motor I looked at the PCV and it had no valve in , a straight pipe. My question is I know some motors have a small orifice for the pcv system, does the 3.0 have the same? Is it possible the valve fell apart and get sucked up thru the intake and kill the original motor? The Monty has 166k and does not have a egr either, engine runs strong, just smokes at idle. Thx in advance for the feedback.
