My 2002 Jeep Liberty (KJ) Limited Edition 4x4, 3.7 liter V6, 142,000 miles. Leather interior. Power windows / locks / seats / mirrors / sunroof, and cruise control. COLD Air. Everything works except…

The engine suddenly lost power on 6/30. It will start and run, albeit very roughly and will not maintain idle. My Mechanic confirmed no compression in cylinder #2 - one valve inoperative – likely bent.

Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD System. New (5/13) front Propeller shaft (drive shaft from transfer case to front diff.)

Frankenlift Premium 2.5” Lift (OME struts/shocks)

Jeepin By Al Gen 4.5 Upper Control Arms

Wheels/tires (5) 16x8 black steelies with 245/75 BFG AT/KO's, 90% tread

Front Suspension Extras: Greasable upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, and sway arm bushings

Rear Suspension: New (4/13) control arm bushings (upper and lower) and new tri-link ball joint.

2” rear receiver hitch with 4-pin connector

Lighting: Hella 500 driving lights, KC back-up light (IPF wiring harness with On/Off/Auto switch – engages when shifting to reverse), factory fog lamps.

Audio: New (12/12 by Audio Express) Kenwood KDC-396 Stereo Head Unit and front speakers, factory rear and front tweeters. Existing dock for Sirius radio receiver including satellite antenna and FM transmitter. Note: Steering wheel audio controls inoperative without harness adapter. Fused power for CB radio at dash (radio not included), antenna cable included to passenger tail light area.

Service History: Complete service records since '03. All drive train, suspension and brake work by 4Wheelers since '03. All engine and transmission work by 25th Street Automotive since '03. Oil changes every 3000 miles since '03. MAJOR maintenance service completed 6/12 (all fluids, new hoses, new belt, new water pump, and new radiator). Battery new on 9/12.

Extras: VIN vehicle build sheet included for reference, Factory Shop Manual, Rear storage shelf. Rubber floor mats. Spare parts.

Cosmetics: Arizona pinstripes, trail rash, minor dings/dents

Work needed (aside from the engine): Driver's brake light out. Front lower control arm bushings are worn, Front drive shaft seal (driver's side), headliner, a seam on the driver's seat is letting go. Driver's door trim panel worn at elbow rest.

Kelly Blue Book for this specific vehicle runs from $5K down to $4K. I've invested almost $3000 in her for maintenance and parts in the last year. After some engine work she'd be a perfect rig for someone starting out off-roading or just as a daily driver.
