I am looking at putting 235 85 R16 BFG ATs on my 2001 Xterra, (load range E).

Any picture of any truck with any tire 235 85 R 16 would be great, the other option is 265 75 R16 but I like the tall and skinny look

thank you

All stock one and 3/4 ton fords up through the switch to 17" rims have one or the other of those sizes. 80's and 90's the 235 then late 90's and 00's for the 265's.

Well I have been trying to get a picture to up load , but it isn't working right now. I apologize and will try again later.

Here is one running 235/85/16's.

Just replaced my Goodyear Silent Armor 265/75/16's with some in-expensive, strictly road style Cooper HT 235/85/16's

I figured that we live in Florida and except for the occasional dirt road, our truck hasn't been off-road in awhile. Why have the extra width and weight of that other tire?

Photo on Left is the old tires and the photo on the right is the new ones. I honestly thing it looks better. We've only driven around town for the last few days with them, so I cant tell any difference, but we're heading up to paddle the Suwanee River tomorrow which will be a few hour drive. I'll be able to say more after that drive

That's the size I wish I had. I have 215/85s right now... It's the tallest tire I can fit. If I ever get around to lifting mine, I'll swap to 235/85s.

I don't have anything worthy of pictures, but several of my previous trucks and one of my current trucks rides on 235/85/16's, mostly because that's what they had from the factory. I had over 70,000 miles on the 235/85/16 Cooper Discoverer ATR's on my old '97 Dodge Dually and it had just passed state inspection before I sold it. Those were great tires, but it was a 2wd and didn't go offroad besides some gravel. My '83 F250 has 235/85/16 Primewell AT Tires. I bought them cheap, I think $105 each from Firestone, needed cheap tires to pass inspection since the 235/85/16 BFG's were way worn down. Again it's a 2wd, but I'm converting to Dana 60HP so I'm going to put those Primewell tires on my old Willys CJ2A ranch truck and put some taller 255/85/16's on the F250 when I finish the 4x4 conversion. I'll probably go back to Cooper for them as I've had nothing but good experience with Cooper tires. Gotta love the skinny ones, I don't like fat girls.:sombrero:
