Picked up a 4 Runner TRD Inferno today

My wife has put up with a lot since 2008 so it was time for some reward. First impressions, what a great looking rig. The days of soft, boring and downright sissy looking Toyotas is going away. This thing is brash, bold and beautiful. Frankly it would be a bad idea to consider a black or white TRD Pro 4 Runner.

So the bad I see;

1. Under carriage could be better smoothed out with less low hanging pieces
2. Wheel locks gotta go, if not for the usual horrors the key is zip tied to the spare...oh my
3. Front nose while not the size of the USS Eisenhower like the Gen 4 is way too big and cries out for a modification
4. Spare tire mounted underneath obviously
5. Needs more power for sure
6. Feels a bit dated in some ways on the inside
7. TRD Pro should include front locker, moon roof, rear tire carrier at least.
8. TRD suspension will be harder to work with years down the road when building

The good;

1. Great looks
2. Solid Ground clearance
3. Front skid plate is a serious unit, other skids are ok for stock
4. Obviously more solid built then prior 4 runners
5. Some of those "dated" features on the inside are quite nice like big rubber coated stereo and HVAC controls, traditional vents...
6. Manual t/case(there, was that really that hard to do?)
7. So far Sat Nav seems quite nice and relatively easy to learn(my first car with it)
8. Extra switch spots
9. Jack location
10. Typical Toyota build quality
11. Inverter and rear power outlet
12. I will add the terrain system, even though I have yet to test it the options are very cool.(locker does not count as I dont by 4x4s with at least on factory locker)

Will add more as add some miles. So far pretty happy with out choice!:sombrero:
