Each summer we travel from the east to the western states for our vacation. We tow our Geo Tracker behind our motorhome. This usually is around 7000 miles round-trip. So I thought I would share some pics from our trip last summer. The motorhome becomes our base camp for our days of exploring. Last summer we went back to Moab again then on to our favorite area around Silverton Colorado.

Here are the specs on my Tracker. I added the tires, transfer gears, ARB lockers, Anvil and diff gears this past fall.

ARB air lockers in front and rear differentials
5.83 ring and pinions
Calmini Anvil
Trail Tough Rockmonster 4.24:1 transfer case gears
31-10.50-15 Mickey Thompson MTZ tires on 8" wheels with 3.75" backspacing.
Calmini 3" suspension lift
OME front struts
OME 962 springs & 2" spacers on front
OME 955 springs & 1" spacers on rear
OME rear shocks
2 inch Sky body lift
Shrockworks front bumper
M8000 lb Warn winch with Amsteel rope instead of steel cable.
Shrockworks rock sliders
Sylvania SilverStar High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulbs
Hella driving lights
4 door Vitara brakes upgrade for the vented rotors and larger drum brakes.
Factory engine/front differential skid plate
Factory transfer skid plate
Aftermarket4x4 gas tank skid plate
3" gas tank lift
Dual battery setup
ARB on-board air
Hi-Lift Jack

The Moab Utah is an awesome offroading paradise. It is rugged, dry, very hot in the summer so spring and fall are popular times. Unfortunately I only can get there in the hotter times of June and July. Luckily the Tracker has AC or the forward hardtop roof section mounts on the rear luggage rack for lots of fresh air.

And here are pics from the Silverton Colorado area. We love it there and have spent a week or two there for the past 4-5 years. It is has unbelievable beauty, lots of history with many ghost towns and mine sites to explore, hundreds of miles of trails to explore with all levels of difficulty.

Many trails are deadly if you get off the edge. Each season people/families die simply by getting too close to the edge. This often happens when you meet an oncoming vehicle. There are rules on these trails but few out of state tourists understand them or follow them.

I broke a right front axle in this river. I had to be towed out. That is when I decided I would have ARB lockers for next year and they are installed now.

There are hundreds of old gold/silver mine sites and ghost towns to explore. Every day is an adventure.
