Can anyone post some pictures of how much room they have around their tires with a 31x10.5 on a 3" lift for an XJ? My friend is looking at a 3" lift and some 31x11.5 Super Swamper LTB tires. Wondering if they will still fit with a 15x8 on 4.5" backspacing or if we will have to use a 15x10 with 4.5" or even a 15x8 with 3.75".

They will rub with 11.5. I had 3.5" with 31/10.5 and 4.5 backspacing and they rubbed on the back when wheeling and also just barely on the control arms. 3.75 backspacing will take care of the control arms but will make the back worse.

I recommend that he goes no wider than the 10.5 with only 3" and even then he have to put up with some rubbing.

My old 93 XJ with a Rusty's 3" lift and 31x10.50-15 General AT2's on 15x8 Cragar wheels with 4" of backspacing.
