Pizza cutters

When I was a kid I fell in love with the old Ford pickups. My old man always had a 73-79 around for hauling fire wood and towing. All of these old trucks had the old bias ply pizza cutters on them. I always loved the look and would like to go with a tall skinny tire to kind of replicate it.

Problem is they don't make any tires in 35"-37" that are 10.50 or so wide that would be good for highway and off road. Super Swampers are not what I'm after. I saw the Continental MPT 81's and fell in love with the look, but I don't want 20" rims and they are really spendy.

What tires in 35-37" size would give me the tall narrow pizza cutter look without going too aggressive or too mild? I need different rims too so anything 15"- 18" will work.

Unfortunately your options are pretty limited without getting swampers of some kind.

A few companies make a 285 75 R 18 which is 34.8 x 11.2

Then swampers are really the only choice. 38x11.00 16 boggers would be my dream if I wheeled enough.

May be too tall based on your requirements. However, check out 38.7 Michelin XL's. They are 11" wide and work on 16" wheels. I had a set on my truck mounted on toyota factory steel wheels. The tires were the best rolling tire I've ever had. No balance and no vibes while driving up to 80 mph's on the highway. Here are a few pics of them on my truck:
