Plumbing a fuel Caddy to gas tank for longer range

Wondering Wanderer
i have an AEV fuel caddy behind my spare tire and don't like using the siphon for transferring to the tank. Has anyone plumbed a fuel caddy to their gas tank for longer range capability? Wondering what would be involved?

I would be interested in how you get this done. I'd like to do it to my Caddy. I wonder, with the Caddy siting higher than the tank, you would have to close the main tank's vent or the gas in the caddy would just flow out of the vent. Overcoming that, you would want to fun fuel line from the pivot side of the tire carrier into the Jeep, then across the body of the jeep and into the stock tank while staying away from the exhaust. This also sounds problematic to me. Not saying it couldn't be done especially by some of the skilled folks on this site but these are hurdles beyond my skill level.
