Plywood ?

I have an offroad trailer started , built for hauling camping gear in the box and kayaks on top. It will have a lid at some point. Ive built the framing out of 2"x2" steel tubing. My question is what type of plywood is the most economical but the best. The ply will be on the floor and sides. I understand it needs to be properly sealed and painted to make it last. I would like to put aluminum or steel in place of the ply someday but as Christmas approaches its not an option. Any info is appreciated

I have used 5 min underlayment for sides n top with my trailer with steel frame and 3/4 for bottom. Worked great for me sealed heavily of course.

Marine plywood would be best. Otherwise, a plywood rated for exterior use that uses exterior glue. Treated plywood can leach chemicals which harm steel.

Look at some of the sites related to "stitch and glue" boat construction the needs/requirements are the same and the construction methods they use will be useful for what you want.

How about using the plastic composite deck wood? Tongue and groove it, glue them to keep out water and it should last a long time.

#1 is the cost... #2 I may also use this to haul firewood . mulch etc. I have a friend who builds houses and he had told me that it tends to warp or bow under a heavy load when in the sun. But it is some nice stuff to work with.. But my main reason would be the dollar.lol $36 for a 16' board , that would add up fast . I could put sheetmeta on it and possibly aluminum for what it would cost
