Poll! M416 Lid or Rack for RTT

Just want to see how many people have a lid with a tent mounted on it. Compared to a rack of some sort with a tent on it. Im up in the air on my build

Don't have a lid yet... but when it's done it will be a lid with 4 cross bars to hold the RTT.

Home fabbed lid, with home fabbed cross bars made from Uni-strut.

Mounted the tent so the lid opens even with the tent open.

Just make sure the wife isn't taking a nap before you open the lid:elkgrin:

I used a set of gas struts, the biggest I could find at the local auto parts store. When the tent is open, the struts will lift the lid by themselves, with the tent closed, they make opening it a 'one handed' job.

What material is the lid?

Steel frame with aluminum skin and trim.

I have an aluminum top on my 416 with an ARB Simpson II mounted on it.
