Hey guys! I have been searching for a bit through the forums and haven't figured out what type of GPS rig I want to get for my truck. I got Delorme streets from a friend but really didn't like the interface and was wondering if anyone on here uses Google Earth. With Google Earth Voyager, you can pre-cache all the areas you want to have in detail, but I am not sure how the GPS works on it.
I have a few ideas in mind, so please school on the concepts.
A. Get a hand held GPS that I can use while hiking (Garmin or something similar) and hook it up to the computer to run on GE while on the road.
B. Get something like so http://www.holux.com/JCore/en/products/products_spec.jsp?pno=253 , connect it to usb via bluetooth and hope that it receives transmissions in canyons and valleys.
Im new to this, but would love to have something setup for my Baja trip in mid November :sombrero:. All the help would be greatly appreciated!
