pre-runner bar

Is anyone one here running a pre-runner bar (specifically without the stock bumper)? I wanted to get a pre-runner bumper for my F150 but am having trouble finding one for a reasonable price. I am thinking of taking off the stock bumper and just running a pre-runner bar.

what year F150?

I would suggest getting custom built.....or better yet tackle building it youself. That sounds like a great project!

Sorry, its a 2000 XLT reg cab. I would love to custom build one but our base auto club is closed indefinatly right now due to the building being shut down and I don't have a garage (or welder). If I can't find anything I will wait until I get posted to figure something out for custom.

Hey

Frumpy,

Good luck finding much of anything for our Ford's, I can only find a 6" suspension lift and nothing in the way of pre-runners and very little in brush guards, front or rear bumpers. You would think that as many of those models 1997-2004 (?) that Ford made, there would be more after market support. I have a 2000 extended cab Ford F150 4X4 XLT. I did put some Nitto 295/70/17's on it and they work good. I have the triton5.4L , automatic trans and a rear locker. I also have a Unicover Pro series construction top and a twin size mattress in the back for sleeping, the two side lockers of the topper is where I keep research gear. I have a deep cycle battery in the bed and a 800Watt inverter and a backup camera.

I know Fabtech used to offer what you're looking for. However, I just checked their website because I hadn't been there in a long time. It seems they have really changed their offerings and I don't see it anymore for your year model.

Are you a shop or just have this stuff? Do you have any pics of the bumper (even just one off google)

I'll be in business soon, but most of this stuff has nothing to do with that. Right now I am cleaning out old ebay stuff, parts lots, and project parts that I no longer need.

I was going to install these on a couple Tundras, but they are too small.

The only picture from TJM shows a prototype that never saw production, but it's a good idea of what the above looks like on the F150.

Hey

Bjowett,

Do you still have the front bumpers or the brackets available for the F150; may be interested if price is right? Thanks
