{Nashua, NH} – NEMO Equipment, Inc., manufacturer of extreme conditions and AirSupported tents and outdoor gear, has recently been added to Overland Training’s list of distinguished Overland Certified companies. To become Overland Certified, a company representative must complete Overland Training through the Overland Institute to ensure an appreciation of the overland community and a better understanding of overlanding. Only companies that hold the highest standards of customer service and environmental awareness are certified.
Overland Training prepares vehicle-dependent expedition travelers for the challenges and opportunities associated with exploring the globe. Vehicle operation, recovery and repair, expedition planning and logistics, communications, conservation and courses in various cultures are all covered. Overland Training provides these skills through comprehensive field and classroom training taught by leading experts in the field.
Best known for their innovative AirSupported Technology® utilizing airbeams instead of traditional aluminum tent poles and most recently for winning Outside Magazine’s Gear of the Year and Backpacker Magazine’s Best All-Around 3-Person Tent, NEMO has been branching into new markets and experiencing steady growth. In 2008, NEMO’s Morpho AR™ tent received the Best Value award from Overland Journal. The president of NEMO, Cam Brensinger, is himself an overland traveler, having previously taken his BMW 1200GSA through Baja.
