I started a build over on Tacomaworld when we first got the truck but I lurk around here just as much and most of the content here is more applicable to the types of activities my family and I do anyway. So I figured I would post a little bio of our rig that has allowed us to have tons of fun since we bought it last year.

Why did you remove the drawers?

They were simply hooked in with turnbuckles anyway, but I found myself taking them in and out so often for various other tasks the truck is used for that it became a hassle. I loved the organization aspect of them, but even now, using dedicated totes for camping we seem to have a lot more room in the bed. They also added weight that I was trying to cut down on.

Respect! Nice truck and very purposeful mods. The steelies will look super cool when you are done!

Question: Do you have any coil spacers up front? It looks like a lot of lift up front with a winch and bumper for just 885s. I'm trying to pin down what coils i'm going to go with. Thanks!

No spacers, just the 885's. If you look at the truck from the side you can see the true height. The photos from the front make it look higher, but in actuality it isn't. I have quite a bit of rake when the bed is empty. When we load everything up for camping it starts to level out. I think the 885's are perfect for what I have now, but if I get skids and sliders I will want the 886's

What are your thoughts on the TJM winch? How many times have you used it?

I have been using my TJM 9500# winch for a while with quite a few mud and sand pulls. It has been solid and never had an issue. Highly recommend the TJM winch series.
