Problem with Garmin 12 - Vert nav cancelled/Bad EPE

So, this unit worked fine up until a few weeks ago. I hadnt turned it on since CA, so I knew it would take a bit.

After sitting for about 15 minutes, I came back and it said:

"Not useable EPE" on the sat. aquiring page, and:

"Vertical Navigation Cancelled" on the message page.

I've found nothing in my manual to cover this, and was wondering what the issue it?

Any help is appreciated.

You might be able to reset the GPS by holding down the "Page" or "Mark" button while turning on the GPS - you should do this at your own risk

You should be able to search the internet for more information on how to reset the device.

Duh...didn't think of that.

Spoke with them a short bit ago, and did a reset using the "Mark" button. It works fine.

Now, do I keep messing with the 12, or learn the 40 and keep the 12 as a back-up.
