Well been a long time coming! Its gonna be a real slow build but finally putting it up here, maybe it will help motivate me. About 10 years ago I bought a 1972 Ford F250 Crew Cab 2wd, 390FE, C6 AT. Drove it that way for about 1 year then sourced a flipped 1972 Ford F250 Crew Cab 4wd, 460, 4 speed. I did a frame swap and fitted the 4 speed to my rebuilt 390FE. It has a mechanical 4 barrel Holley, Hedman headers and 3" pipes with Flowmaster 2 Chambers. Been sitting this way for the last 8 years or so. Often hauling wood out of the holler, and the occasional trip to work or town.
Plan to make it worthy of overland travel in the Eastern National Forests, main areas will be Monongahela, George Washington, Jefferson, Pisgah, and others. Eventually heading West with my wife when kiddos are off on there own. Unless they build a rig of their own!
Looking at removing the pickup bed, and building a box type camper from scratch.
I am out of town on work right now so not to many pictures or progress for the next few months. I look forward to gleaning information, and sharing the build with all of you.
